Peace Ranch has several classes and events throughout the year, including Herd Meditation, Spring & Fall Farm Days, Natural Horsemanship Classes, 5k/10k Peace Ranch Run, and our Hug & Groom volunteer program that meets every week. We hope you can join us on the ranch!

Fall Farm Day . . .

When: Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

What: This is a great family-friendly volunteer opportunity. Come help get the ranch ready for winter. Lunch is provided. Help us:
• Get the barns and pens ready
• Clean up the pastures
• Put the garden to bed
• Split and cut wood

Healing From The Bottom Up . . .

Healing Trauma from the Bottom Up is an educational and experiential workshop designed to impact how professionals understand and address trauma.

Participants will learn: How brain development & organization is impacted by trauma, how to intervene based on the Neuro-sequential model, and why cognitive interventions alone fall short

Participants will practice: Brain regulation, ‘languages’ of the lower, mid, and upper brain, and ways to create a trauma-sensitive environment

Presenters: Jan Stump, MSW, Peace Ranch Program Developer and Jackie Kaschel MLitt, Eagagla Advanced, Peace Ranch Executive Director/Founder

Herd Meditation . . .

Herd Meditation Format:
• Meet & greet at the Peace Ranch
• Walk out to join the herd for a partly guided meditation
• Shift into a silent walking meditation with the herd
• Come back together to share our experiences
• Brief closing meditation

Suggested donation of $10 – $35 per gathering to support the therapeutic herd and their work. If times are tight, give as you are able. Please dress for the weather and bring your journal and whatever you need to be comfortable.

Hug & Groom . . .

Hug & Groom is our “gateway” program combining volunteerism and mentoring in a family friendly environment. Come out and help care for the horses and the ranch. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult and need a Liability Waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian to participate. All participants must wear appropriate footwear.

Natural Horsemanship Classes . . .

Peace Ranch offers a full Natural Horsemanship curriculum offering something for everyone, from beginners to advanced handlers.

Instructor Melissa Edingfield is EAGALA Certified and has taught locally for over 20 years including performance, horse care, and Natural Horsemanship. Melissa is well known for her intuitive style and excellence in teaching natural equine communication methods.
