Not every child who comes to Peace Ranch is ready to talk. But when they step into the arena, something begins to shift. Without pressure or expectation, they start to settle, connect, and feel safe again, often in ways that traditional therapy hasn’t been able to reach. We see that same shift with others we serve. One veteran shared that being at Peace Ranch was the first time in a long time that their body felt calm. This is the kind of healing your sponsorship makes possible.

Peace Ranch is an experiential, brain-based healing environment where trained therapists help those with trauma develop safety and emotional regulation through relationships with horses. We are one of the few organizations in northern Michigan offering this kind of care, and we are committed to ensuring that no one is turned away due to lack of funds. The Wilderness Run helps make that mission possible by helping to fund this work.
